Why did Sonam skip Ranbir's brithday bash?

Sonam Kapoor, who entered Bollywood with the Kapoor lad in ‘Saawariya,’ claims that Ranbir Kapoor is still a friend and that she admires Ranbir as an artist. However, the actress didn’t go for Ranbir’s birthday bash due
to her grandfather’s demise.

On being asked about whether the actress still considers Ranbir a friend, she said, “Ranbir is my childhood friend and I also admire him as an artist.”

When probed about why the actress skipped Ranbir's birthday bash, Sonam quickly said, “My grandfather passed away and so didn’t go.”

Sonam also said that she has seen the promos of Rockstar and is appreciative of the work of everyone involved in the flick.
