Salman Khan makes swimsuit model’s dream come true!

Salman Khan always wanted a fresh face for his upcoming film ‘Sher Khan’ and he thought the movie would be a great starting point for her career.
Angela will have to undergo martial training and the shooting will be done at the most exotic locations in the world. The film will be directed by Salman’s brother Sohail Khan and is slated to go on floors next year.

Date games heat up in Bollywood

‘Single and ready to mingle’ seems to be the mantra in B-Town with most of the current crop of stars unabashedly flaunting their unattached status. Call it coincidence, but most actors currently happen to find themselves in the sexy singles brigade and going by their dating games, neither of them seem to be in a rush to trade their single status for that of a committed one either.
So, hooking up for dates with fellow singles or partying together is throwing up a whole lot of interesting equations in the industry.
Sample this: Actor John Abraham was recently linked to co-star Deepika Padukone, while Deepika’s ex Ranbir Kapoor was said to be dating co-star Nargis Fakhri. Ranbir was also linked to John’s ex Bipasha Basu, and Bips got linked to Shahid Kapoor, who in turn has been said to be dating Anushka Sharma. And her rumoured ex Ranveer Singh got linked to Sonakshi Sinha.
Interestingly, this unapologetic ‘it’s-okay-to-be-seen-together’ attitude is certainly seen as a welcome change in an industry, where earlier, a star would rather be seen dead than spotted partying with a fellow co-star for fear of being paired up.
Industry-watchers feel that this change towards being open about dating is reflective of today’s times. “Today families accept their children dating more easily than they did say a few years back. So, naturally it’s becoming an accepted norm for the Bollywood stars too,” says trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
“Why should we stop going out with friends just because they happen to be of the opposite sex and someone may pair us up?” quips Bipasha. “Today most of us feel that way. There’s no need to flaunt, but there’s no reason to hide it either,” she adds. Actor Ranbir Kapoor agrees adding, “What’s wrong in dating if one is single?” But don’t these off screen equations affect onscreen relationships? “Not really,” feel insiders. “Actors are smart enough to not let their personal lives interfere with professional ones.
Besides, it’s a small set of actors and they are bound to either work or party in same circles,” says a veteran producer.
“It’s like trying permutation and combinations to see who clicks best with with whom? Besides, it may just help bag better endorsements and film deals too based on a couple creating a wave at a certain point too,” adds a young actor, smiling, “It’s a win-win for both anyways.”

Is Sanjay Leela Bhansali ignoring Kavita Seth?

It is being alleged that filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has given the music arranger the credit of composing a song in an upcoming film, while completely overlooking the original music composer, Sufi singer Kavita Seth.
Sources say that the singer is upset with Bhansali for crediting Shamir Tandon as the music composer of the song Intezaar in his upcoming film. "In the song Intezar, the music was composed completely by Kavita and the music arranged by Shamir. But when the credits were announced, it was Shamir's name that was announced as the composer of the song. Sanjay too praised Shamir for the song everywhere which meant that the full credit of creating the song went to him," says a source.
Apparently, the singer, who sang Iktara in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer Wake Up Sid, got back to Bhansali, but he didn't respond favourably. Without going into details, Kavita also confirmed that she has composed the song in the film. "I have composed one song called Intezaar in Sanjay's My Friend Pinto. I have made this composition five years back and it is a melodious song," she said. The song was sung by a young singer who was a reality show participant in which Bhansali was the judge last season.
According to a source close to Bhansali, he did receive a complaint from Kavita but he was not of the opinion that she should get full credit of the song. "There was a part that was composed by Shamir Tandon as well because you will see that there are some English words infused in the lyrics (originally by Charanjit Singh) which was composed by Shamir. However small it is, Shamir was co-credited for composing the song," says the source.
The online version of the album shares Seth's credit with Tandon.

Amitabh Bachchan confesses about not being able to spend much time with children Shweta and Abhishek during their childhood, due to his career which kept him busy most of the time. “When Abhishek and Shweta were born, I was busy with my career. Hopefully, when my grandchildren arrive I can spend more time with them,” explains Big B.

Bigg Boss 5: Shradha Sharma reveals more than required!

Bigg Boss 5 is not just keeping the audience entertained, but also the inmates with its interesting tasks. And, while performing one such task, Shradha Sharma revealed more than required.

Grooving to the tunes of some dance numbers with other inmates in a short top, much was revealed. And incidentally, her top came undone and something that was not meant to be out on display peeped out.

However, the footage was chopped off and didn’t make it to the episode. Well, another attempt at hogging the limelight just went in vain.

KRK hopes Madhuri Dixit will like him more than her husband!

Bhojpuri actor Kamaal Rashid Khan is at it again! After discussing every possible starlet on his social networking account, Madhuri Dixit Nene seems to have become KRK's favourite topic of discussion.
While Madhuri Dixit Nene is back to India to pursue career opportunities along with husband Dr Shriram Nene, KRK is hoping to meet the starlet sometime real soon.
Kamaal, recently expressed his desire to flirt with the actress. He tweeted, “I shall try to flirt with Madhuri ji as she is still hot and sexy and hope she will like me more than her husband(sic).”
And to top it all, the actor was ready with a justification for pursuing Madhuri, in spite of knowing that she's married. Here's what he said,“Juhi was happily married in film DARR they why SRK was behind her? So this is not a problem if Madhuri ji is happily married. Yes yes I am ready to die for Madhuri ji(sic).”

Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea a couple again?

In spite of the fact that he is being seen with her more frequently than usual, actor Dino Morea insists that he has not gotten back with his ex flame, actor Bipasha Basu. He, however, adds that Bipasha kept in touch with him all through her 'ups and downs'. "I know that I have been photographed a coupled of times with Bipasha, but I can confidently tell you that there's nothing going on between the two of us. We are just two good friends catching up with each other after a long time," says Dino, who too has broken up with fashion designer Nandita Mahtani.
Bipasha, reportedly, broke up with Dino when she started seeing actor John Abraham. The two reportedly didn't keep in touch during the time she was in a relationship with John. Dino, however, rubbishes the claim. He says that the two have always maintained contact through their break-ups. Dino was rumoured to be dating actor Lara Dutta before getting linked to Nandita.
"We had never lost touch. We have kept in touch with each other and spoke to one another through our highs and lows. I don't think that it's abnormal to catch up again," says Dino. "I am very much single now. When I date somebody again, I will not hide it from you all," he adds.
Bipasha and Dino were last photographed, having a good time with a common friend.
Bipasha recently split with long time beau actor John Abraham. There are rumours that the two might be doing a film together again.

Bigg Boss 5: Juhi breaks down!

The stress in the Bigg Boss house, seems to be taking over all the inmates and the latest casualty is none other than Juhi Parmar. The TV starlet seems to be finding it tough to survive in the house.

Here's the latest from the infamous house:

The day starts with Pooja Misrra washing the dishes without any hassles. Shraddha Sharma joins her in the garden area. The two start bonding and expressing their views to each other about the other housemates. The two also reach an agreement that if Pooja Misrra survives from eviction this week, then they will not vote against each other during the next week’s nominations.
Juhi Parmar addresses a concern about the dishwashing task that Pooja Misrra has been assigned for this week. While being seated in the dining area, she points out to Pooja Misrra that the dishes are not being washed properly and they continue to remain greasy. A surprisingly quiet Pooja Misrra accepts what is being said without creating any conflicts and agrees to pay more attention while washing the dishes.
Amar is given a special task for the day. He is asked to nominate two people between whom the captain for the coming week will be elected. Amar decides to discuss the issue on hand with his fellow housemates, before locking in two names between whom the election would be conducted. Many names appear around during this discussion.
Juhi and Mahek discuss whether Lakshmi would be a good choice to be a captain for the coming week and decide that maybe she is not yet ready to take up this responsibility. In order to warn them about probable groupism inside the house, Shakti calls Amar, Mandeep and Shraddha to his room and discusses the nomination plan. He asks for everyone’s opinion to make sure that they are not the target for the next round of nominations and also to make Vida the captain for the next week.
When Juhi walks up to Lakshmi and explains to her that she is not a good candidate for captaincy, her suggestion that does not go well with Lakshmi, who approaches Amar and talks to him about the upcoming captain nominations and her thoughts about it. While the two are talking, Pooja Misrra joins the discussion with her views and also reveals her feelings about Pooja Bedi. Meanwhile, Shraddha and Shakti decide that it’s time to form their own group and take a decision to start alienating someone from the rest of the house soon. Mandeep and Mahek soon join their discussion and the group makes headways in some plotting.
Noticing Pooja Misrra’s reformed avatar, Shonali apologises to Pooja for being judgemental and mistreating her in the house. This does not go well with Shonali’s friend in the house- Mahek, who calls her diplomatic and two-faced. Not buying any of the apologies that are coming her way, Pooja Misrra admits to Amar that she finds it very difficult to trust the people in the house and believes they are fake.
The weekly task discussion is held by Juhi, where she points out the shortcomings of every member in the house. The contestants vehemently deny the allegations and stand for what they are doing and believe it is being done properly. Juhi breaks down when the fellow contestants get really aggravated and lash out at each other while calling each other names.
To be a part of the action, don’t miss Bigg Boss 5 Tonight at 10.30pm only on COLORS.

Ra.One in trouble? Producer threatens SRK!

Mumbai: Getting a release that ensures a clean, solo run at the box office has become a do or die thing for the film industry. Things have come to such an end that some are now lobbying or even resorting to intimidation for a release date.
The latest to face it is actor Shah Rukh Khan, who has gone on record about a big-time filmmaker coaxing him to change the release date of his forthcoming film because he felt that 'SRK is destroying his film'.

"I won't name this particular big time producer-director. He, I remember, called me and was very disturbed. He actually told me to postpone my film as it would destroy his film at the box office," said Shah Rukh, according to a transcript of a yet-to-be aired chat show.
SRK, it seems, didn't pay any heed to the person because he never really bothered about him. "All I said is that if you want me to push my film all you have to do is tell me. There's no need to get disturbed. I don't like or dislike this person, I just don't think about him at all," adds the actor.
With a film's fate being decided in the weekend run, release dates have become all the more important for filmmakers. "You are lucky if you get a release date of your choice. I too want to see my films release during a Diwali or Eid, but these dates are reserved for the bigger stars," admits actor Ranbir Kapoor.
The last big 'fight' regarding release dates reportedly happened between the filmmakers of Aamir Khan starrer Dhuan and Ajay Devgn starrer Tezz. "It is important that one film does not bleed the other at the box office. Clashes are unnecessary because we are all looking for a good run," says filmmaker Ratan Jain, whose Tezz will clash with Karan Johar's Agneepath on Republic Day next year.

Why is Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan hiding her baby bump?

The stork's been rather busy these past several months. Not only in Bollywood with queen bee Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan expecting her first child with actor hubby Abhishek Bachchan, and actor Lara Dutta and tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi expecting their first as well, but out in the West too.
Until recently new mums Mariah Carey, Victoria Beckham, Jessica Alba, Kate Hudson, et al, were seen showing off their baby bump rather proudly at various dos. Also, mums-to-be actor Jennifer Garner, singer Beyonce Knowles and France's First Lady Carla Bruni who are going all out to flaunt their curves. And so has Lara here, when she recently walked the ramp in her preg avatar.
Aishwarya on the other hand yet seems to be coy about flaunting her own bump and has been making limited appearances and that too clad in layered clothing that would keep the bump well-hidden.
Now, one wonders when is the actor ever going to make her style statement and step out in that glam avatar, trading her Anarkalis and saris for something more her haute and happening…

Bigg Boss 5: Poonam Pandey’s semi-nude act to raise TRPs?

Earlier, there was a lot of buzz about model Poonam Pandey's entry into the Bigg Boss house. But when the final contestants were announced, Poonam was nowhere to be seen. Reportedly, the set up was little planned a little differently and now, Poonam is reportedly all set to enter the Bigg Boss house as special guest for 2 days.
According to speculations, Poonam’s role is going to be different and she is all set to create some controversy and add spice to the Bigg Boss house. That’s the reason her entry has been delayed. That’s not all; the lady may go semi-nude inside the house, while staying there for couple of days.
Earlier reports suggested that she was offered Rs. 2 crore to be a part of the reality show, but she declined the offer claiming that the money onoffer was too little for stripping.
Poonam was earlier seen on Color’s adventurous show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 4’ and her participation proved to be quite a non-controversial one. But, her stay in the Bigg Boss house is anticipated to be spicy enough to draw more viewers to the show!

Poonam Pandey's 'Live Porn' website!

The bare all girl is turning sleazy, after speculations of Poonam Pandey entering into the Bigg Boss house, the cyber girl has played another gimmick to attract eyeballs.
Poonam is now set to launch a semi porn website, which will get into the bare all girl's bathroom and bedroom.
The website claims to be a live one, which will unleash the undercover activities of Poonam.

"It is not a porn site, but an sneak peak inside my bedroom since a lot of my fans want to know about me and this is the right opportunity to do so," says Poonam, who has put to rest the speculations about she entering the Bigg Boss house.
"I haven't been approached by them and don't intend to go inside the house. Why do I need to, when I can directly enter into the homes of my fans through this website, that too Live, 24X7," laughs Pandey.

Jaipur hot bods are world's new hot shots

Jaipur: They were the girls next-door. Now their neighbours are gaping at their bold avatar in the showbiz. Young girls, fresh from their colleges or still into their studies are defying the stereotype and plunging head-first into the glamour world without fear or remorse.
Priyanka Verma (seen wearing a green swim suit in the picture on left), a student of the Kanoria College, is a scorching example of a small-town girl who has been sprinkled with stardust. Priyanka, who hails from a conservative Rajasthani family, has been shortlisted for the Kingfisher swimsuit calendar shoot.
"When I got a call from the organiser that I was among the top 15 contestants for the calendar, I went blank. There was no reaction," the 20-year-old student said. It was during the shoot that she sported a bikini for the first time in her life. But, her family does not know of her venture into the modelling world, yet.
"I have not yet mustered up enough courage to inform my family about this contest; only when I got a call that I was shortlisted among 1000 contestants I confided in my mother," she said. Though, it was moiré daunting a challenge to convince her mother for the modelling contest that wearing a bikini, she admits.
Industry insiders say many young girls in Jaipur are coming forward to get a shot at fame either through a stint in the television and cinema or by walking on the ramp.
Shireen Mirza's career got a shot in the arm when she was chosen to play a part in an English film 'Not Today'. She was taking up modelling assignments until now. "I always wanted to model. Initially our relatives objected to the idea, but my parents have stood by me," she said. Shireen believes that the mindset of the people in Jaipur will gradually change as more girls make the city proud on an international platform.
Like Shireen, 22-year-old Aakriti Anand Singh already has plum modelling assignments in her pocket.

Kangna questions Bollywood's fashion sense!

Day 3 of Wills India Fashion Week saw quite a few surprises along with a few dampeners, but the presence of Bollywood starlet Kangna Ranaut, pretty much made up for the lack of oomph in the terms the designs showcased during the day.

Kangna, who walked the ramp for designer Shantanu Goenka at the ongoing Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, seemed very appreciative of Shantanu's collection and appeared really kicked about her dress for the evening- a golden-white gown. "The gown is complementing my complexion and I'm loving it," said the actress.
The actress also said that she's been following Shantanu's designs for quite sometime now and thinks his designs have an edge over others. But, the pretty damsel didn't quite end it here, she ensured that she provided enough fodder for people to talk about even post her departure from the venue. Yeah, she touched upon people's favourite topic- Bollywood fashion. Answering a question on the same, the actress said, "I don't want to hurt anyone, but I think that style quotient is seriously missing from Bollywood and guess it's only Priyanka and Sonam, who know how to carry themselves well."
When probed about how much she liked walking on the ramp, Kangna said that she was never uncomfortable while walking the ramp, thanks to her flicks- Fashion and Raaz 2, which gave her a chance to hone her modelling skills.
Shantanu's collection for the evening, was inspired by the French queen Marie Barrios and drew its inspiration from the chateau of Versailles in France. The designer was able to beautifully capture the magnificence of the palaces with his over the top baroque detailing and architecture.
The collection comprised of stunning structured corsets, engineered drape gowns with scooped necklines and feminine frills. The colour rich palette included vintage pinks, creamy whites, teals and jam reds.
An ambiance, complete with a Victorian palace like gate, lush green gardens with cemented stones and British classic music was enough to set the tempo of the show, but Shantanu, in a way concentrated more on couture like garments in his latest collection and there was less of a pret feel to the entire range.

Jagjit Singh’s death: Third tragedy for ghazal singer’s wife Chitra

Mumbai: Tragedy has been a constant companion of Chitra Singh, who with her husband Jagjit pulled the ghazal genre out of the drawing room of the elite and brought it to the masses.
"I can imagine her plight and how lonely she must be feeling," singer Asha Bhosle said, reacting to Jagjit Singh's death this morning after a massive stroke.
In 2009, Monica Chaudhry, the 49-year-old daughter of Chitra Singh from her first marriage, committed suicide at her residence at suburban Bandra.
In 1990, Jagjit and Chitra's son Vivek died in a car crash here which left the couple devastated. Jagjit went silent for six months only to emerge stronger but Chitra lost her voice after the tragedy.
In fact, some of Singh's finest works came after that tragedy as pain had an enriching effect on his art.
These included Sajda'with Lata Mangeshkar, Someone Somewhere, Hope', 'Kahkashan'(recorded with Ali Sardar Jaffri for a teleserial), Silsilay with Javed Akhtar, Marasim with Gulzar and Samvedna(featuring former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee's poems).

Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah's dirty orange act!

Vidya Balan and Naseeruddin Shah have gone ahead and danced in a typical South style in the movie, ‘The Dirty Picture.’ Both the actors have gone ahead and danced amidst a thousand oranges. Apparently, the oranges were rolled down a hillside while they danced.
Bollywood seems to be addicted to food items these days. First there was a tomato song in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. Then tons of sweet lime fruit were ordered for a song sequence in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s ‘Ferrari Ki Sawari.’ And now, director, Milan Luthria has gone ahead and ordered two truckloads of oranges for a sensational song sequence in his upcoming movie, ‘The Dirty Picture.’
Naseeruddin Shah has gone ahead and danced in a movie after almost 20 long years. The last movie where Naseeruddin was seen dancing was ‘Tridev.’

Won't ditch you for Bigg Boss: Amar Upadhyay to his wife!

Amar Upadhyay, who charmed one and all by his portrayal of Mihir Virani, has now entered the most controversial house of small screen. However, the actor was unsure about accepting the offer and also promised his better half to not deceive her in anyway. Also, the actor confessed to her that if something controversial happens, it will take place just due to the circumstances in the house.

Amar has shed away his boy-next-door image and the first episode of Bigg Boss 5 is evident enough to show his cunning side. With talking to Lakshmi, the actor added some spice to the already heated up environment in the house. According to sources, the actor had a conversation with his wife and also assured her not to ditch her in any way, even if though he'll be surrounded by many girls in the Bigg Boss.

The sources also update us by informing that Amar was hesitant initially and was doubtful about whether he can survive the controversial atmosphere in the house, considering the previous seasons of Bigg Boss, which have led many celebs to shed tears.

With the kind of a kick-start Amar's got in the house, we hope the actor gets a rather smooth sailing during rest of his stay in the house and the cameras help him live up to his oath.

Naseeruddin Shah gives Vidya lessons in Chess

An ace at the game, Naseeruddin Shah has turned a tutor of sorts on the sets of Balaji's Dirty Picture. The senior actor has started giving lead star Vidya Balan  lessons in chess, in between shots on the sets of the film.
Vidya was very keen on learning how to play chess and approached the veteran actor to help her in grasping it. Says a source, "Vidya is always very keen on learning new things. The most recent being chess and Shah is a pro at the game and is teaching Vidya on the sets of their film Dirty Picture.”
Looks like Naseer is surely going to rub some of his genius on Vidya.

Bigg Boss 5: Is Amar Upadhyay's entry, the start of controversies?

Bigg Boss house has never been more interesting than this as the catfights and bitching increases manifold with the entry of Amar Upadhyay. They plot against each other and meanwhile Amar Upadhyay stands exposed!
Amar is too straight forward in his real life and within minutes of entering Bigg Boss house he has shown his true colors. Exaggerating one of the incidents Amar created a rift between Pooja and Laxmi.
Though Amar had already revealed his plans to end the era of Shakti Kapoor, but he was seen getting sugary with House captain Shakti Kapoor. He also consoled and instigated Pooja Misrra that the same people she thinks are friendly with her have actually nominated her.
Guess with Amar entering the house and plotting against each other, Bigg Boss will get more and more interesting in the coming weeks.

Actress Katrina Kaif is really happy these days, the reason- the pretty actress is working with friend Salman Khan in the much anticipated film ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and is quite hopeful that the movie will be a great success, considering Salman’s good run at the box office.

Apparently, all thanks to Salman's success, Kat is also trying to convince Salman Khan to come out with a sequel to ‘Partner’. The last film that they did together was ‘Yuvvraaj’ and post that they didn’t share the screen space together.
Salman is coming up with lot of sequels from Dabangg to Wanted and Tere Naam, let’s hope that Katrina’s wish comes true and ‘Partner’ also gets a sequel.

SRK taunts Kareena, says she's busier than him and Big B!

At his sarcastic best, Shah Rukh Khan recently broke silence and showed his displeasure over Kareena Kapoor’s non-participation in the promotion of Ra.One. His statement describing Kareena to be the busiest person on the earth, clearly showed how upset he is with her.
“Kareena is even busier than Big B and I. Owing to the fact that both he (Amitabh Bachchan) and I spared time for each other in the terms of voiceovers for Ra.One and Kaun Banega Crorepati respectively, despite our busy schedules and that says it all. But, I guess, all the heroines in the industry are busier than the male actors,” said SRK.
SRK in fact, got nostalgic about the days when Kareena had all the time for him during the shoot of Asoka, their first ever film together. He further elaborated on the same by saying, “I remember, it was during the shoot of Asoka in Jaipur, when I got the opportunity to sit on the hot seat for the first time. Bebo, along with the crew would take my classes before I sat opposite Big B.”
“But, times have changed, so have things. Today, Kareena has no time for anyone and anything. In fact, I’m not prepared this time, barring the old lessons given by her, which haven’t gone out of my memory, ” he concluded.

Eva Longoria to visit India?

In the wake of Hollywood stars making appearances on the Indian circuit, it isn’t surprising when a celebrity expresses interest in Indian films.
The latest addition to the list of celebs who want to visit India is Hollywood actor Eva Longoria. Eva recently made her first trip to Dubai in the Middle East for a special event. Before she left US, she tweeted about her trip, asking for suggestions from her fans as to which places to head to in Dubai. She got quite a few responses and was super excited about her trip to the Middle East. In the midst of that, she also said she would love to visit India. On being asked by a fan, she tweeted, “India next on my list!”
The actor apparently enjoyed her visit to the Middle East so much that she can’t wait to make another trip to the place. She is apparently planning her next trip to India as she has always been fascinated by Indian culture and Bollywood.
Other international showing a keen interest in India are musician Lady Gaga as well as actors Tom Cruise and Daniel Craig. Both are set to make their first visit in the coming days. Buzz is also strong of Latina hottie Shakira planning another visit to India.

Leonardo DiCaprio dating Australian model Alyce Crawford

Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio has reportedly found himself a new girlfriend, Australian model Alyce Crawford, just days after ending his five-month-old romance with actress Blake Lively.

DiCaprio, who is in Sydney to film `The Great Gatsby`, is said to have had regular visits from 21-year-old Crawford, a former Australia`s Next Top Model contestant, at his hotel, the Daily Telegraph reported.
"It`s been going on about two weeks. He texts her when he wants to see her and they hook up a few times a week. They`ve mostly been meeting up during the week. He does other things on weekends. She`s been going to his hotel to visit but he is too smart to be seen with her in public," a source told the newspaper.

It is likely that Crawford may have been behind the end of DiCaprio`s five-month-old romance with Lively.

Crawford, however, has denied dating the `Titanic` star but described him as a "lovely, lovely guy".

"We have a lot of mutual friends and he seems really nice. We`re just friends."

DiCaprio has a history of dating models and his previous flames include Gisele Bundchen and Bar Refaeli.

Salman Khan vs Surya: Who will Asin choose?

With a rather successful innings in Bollywood, today actor Asin's as much a star in B-Town as she is down South. And though she admits that technically there's not much difference when it comes to comparisons between the two industries, there's a certain difference when it comes to the audience's perception of the stars.
“Down South I think audiences like it when the star is like one amongst them - they're simple and without make-up when they go out - that's valued as 'one of us', but it's different in Bollywood. There's much more attention, scrutiny and speculation, since it's a national platform, the audiences also expect a star to be a star 24x7. They like to see a little bit of stardust on a star all the time!” she says.
As for the stars, Asin feels that there can't be comparisons among actors and finds it hard to say who's a bigger crowd-puller, between her favourites Surya and Salman Khan. “Salman's such a craze nationwide and Surya's a big star down South and has done a few movies in Hindi as well so I really wouldn't know,” adds Asin.
Talking about her equation with Salman on Simi Garewal's talk show, she reveals that Salman's a very chilled out person, but there's no question about resisting him. “I never saw him in that light. He is very attractive, but for me he was somebody who I looked up to in a very respectful way, somebody I admired. So that never really crossed my mind,” she says. "He is full of masti all the time on sets and I'm always the bakra,” she smiles recalling an incident when he actually challenged her to eat a bug. “We were shooting in Bangkok and Salman brought a bug.
It was raw and he's like 'have it'. He thought that I’d be yelling and throwing a heroine tantrum but I didn't. I said calmly 'achha okay', and just swallowed it. So actually he didn't really get the reaction he expected,” shares Asin revealing her 'wicked side'. “Yes, at times I can be wicked! You know, I kind of get away with a lot of things,” she smiles.
What about love? Talking about the last time she went on a date, she says, “I didn't know it was a date, I thought I was just going out with a friend but apparently it was a date and that would be a year back.” However, Asin reveals that she's not exactly a romantic. “I think I'm a contradiction. Somewhere, I'm very emotional, sentimental and a romantic, but I also think with my head. I don't let my emotions run away with me as well. So I don't know what to call myself - I'm confused!”

Story
Story:  Soundtrack is based on the true story of a prolific Indian musician portrayed by Rajeev Khandelwal as Ronak Kaul. He inherits his love for music from his father and in order to make it big in the music world begins as a DJ in a big-time club, Tango Charlie, owned by Charlie (Mohan Kapoor). Moving around with right people at the right time gives him an early opportunity to work with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in his film. But, destiny has something else in store for him as excessive consumption of drugs, alcohol and most importantly loud music all the time gets him completely deaf. He is into deep depression until Gauri (Soha Ali Khan), a deaf since birth, enters his life as a ray of hope. Now, will Ronak ever hear again and fulfill his dreams or will he overcome his weakness and emerge as a winner is a real interesting watch.

Story Treatment:  A film by a debutant filmmaker isn’t just rich in content but in execution too. The opening shot where Ronak is introduced and his passion for music is revealed, says a lot about how brilliantly story is going to unfold further. His slow indulgence in the world of drugs, again, comes out finely, considering his strong inclination towards alcohol. The crisp screenplay doesn’t let your eyeballs move off the screen even for a second. The transition from the party to tragic mood and then, to some soothing light moments, with no loopholes, makes Soundtrack, one of the flawless films ever made.

Star Cast:  Rajeev Khandelwal yet again proves his acting prowess, as the character of alcohol or a drug addict is so unlike the real sophisticated Rajeev. He springs a surprise with his flawless performance, each time the story unfurls a different side of his character. Soha Ali Khan, too, is refreshing and brilliant as a deaf girl. Mohan Kapoor gets into the skin of his character very well and delivers a fine performance. Mrinalini Sharma as Ronak’s ex-girlfriend plays her part well. Yatin Karyekar gives an honest performance as a caring uncle.

Direction:  Neerav Ghosh sets a benchmark with Soundtrack and cries it loud that he is surely here to stay. In no way does the film give a feel of being made by a debutant director. To induce twists with no room for confusion at the same time getting perfect expressions from the actors seems to be a cake walk for this filmmaker. Neerav has taken the creative part seriously with some innovative moments in the film in terms of camera moves and direction. The ‘attempt to suicide’ scene is a perfect example to support the claims.

Music/ Cinematography/ Dialogues/Editing: Music syncs with the temperament of each passing phase of the film but doesn’t impress much, considering the expectations from a musical film. Cinematography is ‘A’ class, in fact quite innovative at some places like catching the lively moments on the streets, railway stations. Dialogues - a combination of some serious tone and humour - surely create an impact. Editing complements the screenplay and does the needful to make the film more engaging.

3 Ups and 3 Downs: Extremely appealing storyline, flawless performances, first time yet brilliant direction are the strengths of the film. Music below expectations, slightly slow-paced initial second half, are the weaknesses.

Overall, if you have a taste for meaningful, juicy cinema, Soundtrack is a must watch.
