Prateik opens up about mom Smita Patil for the first time

Generally termed as an introvert, this time Prateik Babbar is leaving no stone unturned to promote ‘My Friend Pinto'. The actor wants SRK and Salman to end their age old fight and he would like to be a mediator between the two superstars. Also, the actor claims that his mother, late Smita Patil is his sole inspiration.

During a media interaction, Prateik confessed that he would like to patch up things between Salman and SRK, as this action would in consensus to his character in the movie. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the producer of the film, jokingly added to the same suggesting Prateik to only try that once his movie releases in the theatres.

Prateik said that he gives away all the credit to his parents and believes that they are his real inspiration. However, it’s his mother, who's bought in a strange kind of honesty in him on screen. Interestingly, Smita had also worked in a film with a similar name called- Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Aata Hai.

Sanjay added that Smita would have been really proud of Prateik after watching My Friend Pinto. The producer also emphasised that Prateik is indeed carrying her legacy ahead and he has done a fabulous job.
