The Bachchan family and the key names of Bollywood who had close proxy with former Samajwadi leader Amar Singh have opted to be a mute spectator.Amar Singh's closeness to the Bachchan family seems to have vanished.
Singh who is in the judicial custody in the Tihar Jail was shifted to AIIMS hospital on the basis of renal complications. Once known for his brotherly relation with Amitabh Bachchan, the actor was ignorant when the media asked him about Singh's ill-health at a music launch in Mumbai.
"Amitji was taken aback after a tv journalist shot a question about Amar Singh's hospitalization and the actor gave a deaf ear to it," said a film critic present at the event.
"It was filmmaker Tinnu Verma who promptly asked the journalist not to get personal further, avoiding more embarrassment to the legendary actor," added a film critic.
"It is was too personal and was in a bad taste. Amitji is my guest and I don't want him to get uncomfortable," echoed Tinnu Verma who had invited the actor for the music launch of his forthcoming film 'This Weekend'.
